Why would we add busywork for the sake of showing that some of the players have so little left they want to do in this game that they're willing to do the busywork? I'd much rather have them stick to a more GW2-ish mentality of making things for players to come back and do once the content is released, and being okay with them leaving afterwards.

I also want to add that the people who do "quit" Guild Wars, are most likely coming back for GW2 and just waiting for it. Why make it so much harder to get for the people who can't afford some of the mini's, gears and items. 50/50 is fine by me, and by others.

regardless if not theres more content, but adding more things to fill in your hall just for one mroe title, itll only appease the players that already have 50/50 in their hom for a little while, and once they get the "new stuff" itll be back to leaving it. i dont think adding more to ...er... add is gonna help the problem just a fluctuation on whos online for about a month. u cant make a player play when they arent interested and u dont want it to be a chore. - more gameplay content and mroe livingup to their word on say paragon updates, ranger chagnes, monk skill changes, and more updating in skills altogether instead of profession by the month will probably appease more players, people in general just get bored of running the same "frostway" for doa, its easy the more u do it, but its really boring im sure there are more ways out there to get it done even faster but we only have a little room to breathe at the moment exponentially since the new Elementalist update

I have stopped at 45/50 because I know a lot of people will be 50/50 with the max title and I also like the 45/50 title more than the 50/50 one.

^ Anet have said that you have all the titles that you recieve and can choose which one to display. So you can still display "Legend of the Mists" if you max 50/50.

Legend of the mist < Champion of the gods
i'm stuck at 47/50 and I darn will get that 50/50, after that => grinding is pointless..
will probably use the money for collecting some fancy weapons for my hero's (they deserve it after all this fighting)

Hell no, it was enough of a grind to get to 50/50. I would be happy if they didn't even look at GW again and focused entirely on GW2 to get it released ASAP.

I played GW1 for thousands of hours and there's pretty much nothing they could add that would make me come back, bring on GW2

Also, +1 Bright. I got 50/50 soon after HoM was released, and i already had GWAMM; yet, i'm still working on my Luxon, Treasure Hunter, Wisdom, Lucky and Unlucky titles whenever i feel like playing GW, just for fun.
Same here, I had 43/50 the day the update came, just needed some mini's, some heroes and an oppressor weapon (already had all tormented). So that took me another week or so to max 50/50. I currently have 35 maxed titles on my ele, 36 once I max my lucky (which will be at CNY) and I could even get 37 if I bothered with Survivor. All my characters have Kind of A Big Deal upon creation.. I love chest running and will keep doing so in the hope of some really nice weapons that will of course never drop (q9 dom 20/20 Celestial Scepter and q9 FC 20/20 dom Jug ) but I can hope..

People that complain about not having something to do in this game haven't looked enough to find something.

I don't care. I'll keep going.

I just have 2 and 10 tormented weapons left and

I probably won't get any (more) PvP title(s), though.

Ah I finally see that there were people that gw introduced grind titles for. Well I guess I was totally wrong about everyone hating grind. My apologies.

Edit:
My grind chimp and I both apologize.

Good thread to highlight different ways people get enjoyment :P.

Iv'e never really "title grinded" alot. (besides ss/lb, elona map, and 90tyria skills)
The raw amount of work is just too off-putting, i'd rather do my own thing.

Some people however need to grind to some point :P

SO how about an infinite title LOLS ! based on ...... XP

Title:1mill, 10mill, 100million- infinity! then people can grind for-EVER! or untill GW2

That's exactly my point. thnx for understanding^^ I was merely hoping for some recognition (even only cosmetic) for ppl who are dedicated, not just "to reward" the majority.

I'll quit on 45/50, just because be a Legend to the people (mists = realms) is more cool than a Champion to a bunch of playboys (Gods).

Currently 41/50

GW2's titles are not like GWO's.
When you attain a higher rank, you don't lose the ability to display the previous ranks, instead you simply gain the ability to also display the new rank.

That means that if you go for 50/50, you can still show the Legend of the Mists title.

They could also do this in GW without losing anything, if they kept the numbers next to the titles.
For example, someone that got Legendary Survivor could pick just Survivor, and when selecting their name you'll see "Survivor (3)" under the name. That way the player gets to show the title he wants, and the rest of the players will still see that he actually has the rank 3.

Experience means nothing in GW, because those that have more XP are those that play less: Farmers and bots.

Nothing to do leads to players not playing, and if grind titles did not help the game, why did they just stop adding them after factions. I agree with the above poster, but some of the numbers can be adjusted. 100 minis really is unreasonable BUT 80-90 isn't. Titles 45-50 sounds good, but require 3 pvp titles. Armor should be 15 to you just have to gear out one core profession.

And I'd definitely come back to grind if they added tier 7 GWAMM
